Registration

In order for us to register your car for you, we do require the following ORIGINAL Documents, no copies:

  • Passport or Driving License
  • Recent Utility or Council Tax Bill
  • Insurance cover note showing the Chassis Number of the car
  • Signed Order Form/Invoice as issued by Matt Cardy Specialist Cars

Please be aware that to register a new car, the process normally takes 3-7 days. It is very important that the documentation that the DVLA requires is within 3 months old at the time of registration. All documents HAVE to be original issue and not photocopies as these will not be accepted. We do strongly suggest that you send all sensitive documentation by recorded delivery.

If you have a cherished number, we are happy to register your new car on your personalised plate. However, please be aware that the DVLA do require at least 7-10 days for the registration transfer to take place. In addition to the documentation listed above, we shall need a valid retention certificate for the number.

Cars cannot be registered while they are still on the continent. Please allow time for the cars to be registered once they land in the UK.
